Charter

Our local mandate is to work to halt acts of genocide and crimes against humanity. Our work is inspired by the national Committee on Conscience based in Washington, D.C.

Our primary objectives are to:

1. Alert the community conscience,

2. Educate our youth and adults, and

3. Influence our policy makers

We seek to work with other humanitarian organizations, regardless of religious, ethnic, or cultural affiliations.

The national Committee on Conscience bases its work on the definition of genocide found in the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide approved by the United Nations in 1948 and ratified by the United States in 1988.
